Working with multiple foundations and think tanks on issues surrounding digital society, smart cities, AI, governance, tech policy. This is the main part of my work.

Working with Stiftung Mercator on a range of strategic initiatives as part of their Digital Society focus area.

Strategy work with the Sovereign Tech Fund, a publicly funded program to strengthen public interest open source digital infrastructure ecosystems.

Strategy work with the European AI & Society Fund, which works on shaping AI to better serve people & society.

Strategy work with Civitates, a philanthropic initiative defending democracy and civic space Europe, on the impact of tech on democracy.

Previously

Interim Director of the European AI & Society Fund

Co-founder of ThingsCon, a non-profit to advocate for a responsible IoT, global community of IoT practitioners, and event platform.

In 2018-19 I was a Senior Mozilla Fellow. During my fellowship I developed a trustmark for IoT together with the ThingsCon network.

Getting Tech Right, an independent research project about how to think better about the relationship between tech & society.

Publication: Smart Cities: A Key to a Progressive Europe

From 2019 to 2021 I was an industry PhD supervisor for the OpenDoTT research program on responsible IoT. OpenDoTT is an EU-funded joint program by the University of Dundee and Mozilla Foundation.
