Barcamp & Web 2.0 Expo Berlin

Barcamp Berlin

It’s been a bit quite here on the blog, but that’s a good sign: It’s been rather busy during the last couple of weeks, what with Barcamp and Web 2.0 Expo coming to Berlin. So there’s a few things to announce and share.

First of all, and some of you may know this already, I’m thrilled to be working for Netzpiloten.com for awhile. Namely, I’ll be managing editor for Blogpiloten.de. Blogpiloten.de is a German online magazine showing what’s important in the German Social Web sphere and introducing the folks who actively shape the social web. It’s been exciting during the last couple of weeks as I’ve been getting to know everybody there, so keep an eye on the mag as we’ll be quite productive during the next couple of weeks. Also, on Blogpiloten.de there will be plenty of coverage on the Web 2.0 Expo Berlin (mostly German, sorry).

Which brings us to my second point: Berlin will be host to the web folks from all over this week and next. With Barcamp Berlin and Web 2.0 Expo Berlin hitting the city, it’s going to be a fun and interesting week indeed. So many cool folks to meet, so many events to attend. (At this point a big thank you is in order to the PR folks and organizers of the conferences: Great job, thank you!)

This week’s going to be pretty cool, so I’m looking forward to meeting a lot of you folks, and to eventually put some faces to those email addresses, twitter names and blogs. Welcome to Berlin!

If you’d like to meet up, get in touch:

(If there’s going to be any photos posted on Flickr, they’ll be labeled web2expo.)
